Quinta do lago is a top class hotel, set amidst 2000 acres of rolling hills and pine forests, overlooking the estuary of ria formosa. The hotel is situated 800 meters from the beach and is within 1.5 kilometers of championship golf courses. The 141 air conditioned guestrooms join floral prints and mild colors with conventional furnishings. All rooms have confidential terraces overlooking the sea, gardens or golf course, while inside, all characteristic bathrobes, slippers, hairdryers and full sized bars of soap, as well as satellite television, two direct-dial telephones and minibars. Diners have broad range of eating and drinking options, from conventional portuguese and international dishes with to italian cuisine served to the gentle sound of live guitar musics. The laguna bar has sweeping ocean views and serves drinks and cocktails, and guests can always order up room service, obtainable round the clock. Driving directions from faro airport: leave the airport and drive for approximately three kilometers until you see signs for faro and portimão. Turn right towards portimão. This will bring you to the main coast road - en 125. Continue for approximately four kilometers until you see signs for loulé and portimão. Turn right towards portimão and continue straight ahead for approximately three kilometers. You will then see a billboard for quinta do lago on your left and são lourenço church on your right. Turn right, ensuing the sign to almancil. Drive for a further two to three kilometers until you reach almancil. When you get to almancil, you will see a sign for quinta do lago. Turn left at the second set of traffic lights after approximately 500 meters you will come to a fork in the road and will see a sign for quinta do lago. Take the left fork, passing a golf shop on your right convey straight on for successive two kilometers until you come to a roundabout. This is the entrance to quinta do lago. Continue straight ahead, passing five more roundabouts until you reach the end of quinta do lago. The beach car park will be in front of you and the hotel is on your right.
