General Description:	The 2 star vila camacho is a cosy family run guesthouse with 46 rooms all with confidential bathrooms and a pretty eatery and terrace noted for its cuisine. All rooms have confidential bathrooms and telephones. The vila was not purpose built as a hotel so the rooms come in all shapes and sizes which is part of the charm. most rooms are quite small but are clean; comfortable; well maintained and brightly decorated with lovely wooden floors; making it an first-rate choice for a low cost base from which to explore funchal and madeira island. The vila has been operating as a guesthouse since 1963 and has numerous returning customers. The jewel is the flame tree eatery which serves neat modern portuguese cooking using local periodic ingredients and featuring madeiran dishes. The vila also offers first-rate half board terms. Other facilities include a small pool; a tv bar with primary news and sports channels; laptops for hire with wireless internet access and a small wellness centre offering aromatherapy massages and reflexology. Please note that the vila is located in a hilly district of funchal and there is no elevator. Free parking is obtainable on the main road outside the hotel. supplementary information; children age 2 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 3-15 receive a 50pct reduction of the rate per person and half-board. Children over this age will be considered an adult.
