This is a very good hotel in a restful and extremely scenic location. Ry1003 the hotel is a traditional-looking mountain lodge style building, which blends in well with its surroundings. inside, the decor is a mixture of modern and conventional styles. The eatery is lightly-coloured, with pale bluish set against the pine tables and chairs. The design is modern, with bluish and floral patterns again dominant. All rooms on the hotel are large and in very good condition with the emphasis being on light and space. The bathrooms are also in good condition. The hotel is set in a showy location at the gateway to hardangervidda, described as 'the roof of norway'. During winter, the hotel faces a snow-covered frozen landscape which in summer becomes a tree-lined lake.
