Built in the 1600s as an abbey and transformed into a hotel in 1856, the quai voltaire is supreme known for its legendary guests, like wilde, richard wagner, and baudelaire, who occupied rooms no. 47, 55, and 56, respectively. Camille pissarro painted le pont royal from the window of his fourth-floor room. numerous guest rooms in this modest inn have been renovated; most overlook the bookstalls and boats of the seine. Each unit comes with a tub-and-shower bathroom, except for five that have a shower only.
