The king’s head hotel is dedicated to henry vii, the initial tudor monarch who, by defeating richard iii at the battle of bosworth field, brought the war of the roses to an end.
The original building, built around the 1800s, was known as the laing's hotel until the turn of the century, when subsequent floor was added to make it into the centrepiece of the town square that it is today, dedicated now to henry vii.
The ground floor underwent a primary refurbishment in 2007, giving it a trendy feel but retaining its conventional ambience.
For business events and special occasions, the hotel features the minster room.
Wheelchair access and a lift make the hotel easily reachable to the disabled.

With its lofty ceilings and large windows, sofas and snug armchairs, the kings head has a shining, graceful, airy feel, reminiscent of a bygone era.
