This 15th century coaching inn just on the edge of the new forest has been welcoming hungry travellers ever since 1430 and is steeped in history. Today it it is a family run freehouse with an stylish rustic inside and a pretty terrace garden. The shoe inn is legendary for its quality home-cooked food and is the choice retreat for a relaxing weekend away or a comfy over night stop. We have 5 entrancing bedrooms en suite on the initial floor, with colour television, teacoffee facilities and wireless broadband.Your hosts at the shoe are jeni and aart noordijk. We offer our invigorate every lunchtime and evening an appetising choice of home made soups and starters, varied main dishes and some irresistible ?Go on, indulge yourself? Home made desserts. In good weather, you can enjoy your meal in the appealing beer garden. The shoe inn is a free dwelling and has a good selection of draught beers and lagers, which may include john smiths bitter, guinness, amstel, fosters and kronenberg. At any time you ?Ll find 3 real ales on tap, which usually include a ringwood brew with an extensive choice of wines, spirits and all the usual popular beverages.Well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar. The shoe opens from 11.00- 15.00ish, 18.00-23.00 monday to friday, saturday from 11.00-23.00 and 12.00-23.00 sunday. Entertainment: pool, dominoes, acoustic blues, irish and persons music on friday evenings; blues and rock on sunday evenings.
