Newly opened in 2005, the antwerp diamond hotel is situated in a restful location in the centre of antwerp, 600 metres from focal station, one kilometre from the meir shopping street. The 60 guestrooms have modern décor and furnishings. All are equipped with minibars, clock radios, direct-dial phones, satellite television and bathrooms with toiletries, makeup mirrors and hair dryers. Guests can start the day with breakfast on the terrace and later on relax with a coffee or a glass of wine in the bar. There is a cyber corner where guests can use the internet to plan their itineraries, or check emails. Garage parking (fee) is obtainable for those arriving by car and parents can take advantage of babysitting services. The city park is just 500 meters away, and attractions such as antwerp zoo and the diamond museum are within a kilometre and rubens dwelling, the museum of superb arts and the elderly city district can be found within two kilometres. The nearest airport is antwerp airport, approximately five kilometres and a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Brussels airport is 40 kilometres away. From brussels airport, scheduled coaches run to antwerp; the bus station is located below the arrivals hall. Metered taxis are obtainable outside the arrivals hall. From antwerp airport, bus number 16 runs every 20 minutes from the airport to the city centre.
